It was certainly a challenging transition to go back to work after a week and a half of laying around sick. But I also realized this week just how much I really do love my placement. Not so much the big picture view, as I have mentioned before, but the day to day stuff. It is the spaces of laughter, discovering a shared source of joy, and moments of gratitude that make me excited to come back each day. It's the human connection, however short lived, that gives me life.
We had quite a busy weekend full of gatherings with friends and the church community, a festival downtown, and a block party; so I will just share about my week through pictures and brief captions...
